I just had a visitor. He told me he was from the DNC and then gave me a shot and my peripheral vision is gone, like I'm wearing blinders or something. But, that's okay...the shot they gave me allows me to feel comfortable with these blinders on.

I can see clearly now. All of the faces of conservatives have changed and now I see them as this:

I'm scared! I'm so scared! They all need to burn in Hell!!

And the faces of liberals. They're so beautiful with their halos. And every time their mouths open, it's just rainbows and unicorns.

I see. I have seen the light!!! Liberals are angelic creatures and conservatives are demons!! How could I have not seen it before?

Wait a minute...wait a minute. The faces are changing again. They're all turning back to normal. What is happening?!?!?

And now I hear voices coming from outside....I can barely make them out...what are they saying..."the force is strong with this one"..."it's wearing off"..."quick, she needs a larger dose"....

Quick, I have to lock the doors and windows and make sure they don't come near me again!

    Whew. That was close.

My critical thinking skills are back!

Hillary still sucks as a candidate.

    Have a nice day.

LOL, Well unlike some conservatives I know, many progressives including those on this board will be the FIRST ones to call HRC out if she doesn't push hard to get her agenda passed, or otherwise does something really stupid in office.

Libs are less inclined IMO to put our politicians on a pedestal.
Barack was a different animal because his election was truly historic in ways even Hillary's potential win will not be.

None of us believes HRC is the perfect candidate, but given the options there is no other option.

Considering the fact that HRC is not a Progressive, good luck with that. It wasn't her agenda to begin with, it was RELUCTANTLY added to the platform because of Bernie. Expect anything that was added because of Bernie to continuously be pushed to the bottom of the pile.

What liberals fail to understand is: if HRC becomes president, the progressive movement, the one started with Bernie, is DOA on January 20th.

HRC won't give two shits about anything in the progressive platform. IF she did, she would be the first one in North Dakota, demanding the pipeline be shut down and demanding charges against those committing all sorts of human rights violations against the protesters. But, she's nowhere to be found. Expect more of the same if she gets the one thing she's been hungering for since 1992 - the presidency. That's ALL she cares about.

And Obama was supposed to be a progressive and his lack of response to what's happening in North Dakota is telling. And he's campaigning for HRC to continue his legacy. So, expect more of the same from her.

You guys are all fools if you think the progressive movement stands a chance with an HRC presidency.

Watch and listen. So much truth to what he says.

Books, Obama halted the pipeline construction back in September.

To suggest the President is apathetic or does not care about this pipeline situation is just flat out wrong and not supported by facts. As with any sensitive negotiation and two very strong and important needs and opposition, answers come slower than any of us would like, thats just politics.

"My view is that there is a way for us to accommodate sacred lands of Native Americans. And I think that right now the Army Corps is examining whether there are ways to reroute this pipeline," Obama said in the video interview.

The Now This video, however, suggests that Obama was talking about the review process, not the protests. The president later in the interview says he wants to make sure that both protesters and law enforcement are "refraining from situations that might result in people being hurt."

All HRC cares about is the presidency??? That's bullshit.
The GOP is only concerned with acquiring and holding power, the DNC at least tries to throw some crumbs at improving the lives of everyday Americans.

What GOP agenda can you say attempts to do the same thing??
Even now the GOP led congress has said they will not confirm a single judge presented by a HRC administration and are perfectly fine with a Supreme Court that only has seven justices.

The GOP has turned into an anarchist party that's willing to burn down our democracy and representative government if they can't get their way....on EVERYTHING.

Hillary has always been concerned about the welfare of children and and healthcare, not 'power'.

As for Obama, I think we all knew he wasn't Bernie Sanders 3 years into his first term.
In fact most progressives will tell you Obama is a moderate liberal in the mold of Bill Clinton.

BHO isn't a revolutionary, he's an incrementalist who thinks only bipartisan cooperation can get meaningful legislation passed.

Books, you constantly demonize Hillary Clinton, yet this is the same woman who according to Gallop polling was THE MOST ADMIRED WOMAN IN AMERICA for the last 14 years.

What happened over the last 18 months???

HRC didn't change. However the alt-right and the GOP did.
    Benghazi was a nothing burger.
THe email scandal was simply a shit storm over hot air.

In this election, there is only one reasonable choice, and that's HRC.

They halted construction only on a part of the pipeline.

From this NY Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/03/u...alternate-route-for-dakota-pipeline.html?_r=0

David Archambault II, the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, said in a statement on Wednesday that the tribe applauded Mr. Obama’s “commitment to protect our sacred lands, our water and the water of 17 million others.”

But he said work on the pipeline should be stopped while the Army Corps examined the issue.

Yes the part that was being worked on.

How has the federal government responded?

    http://time.com/4548566/dakota-access-pipeline-standing-rock-sioux/

"The Obama administration—including the Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of Justice and the Department of Interior—temporarily blocked construction on the project in September in hopes of conducting a review, but a federal court intervened to allow the project to proceed. President Obama has taken no additional steps and has said nothing officially about the pipeline, but has come to the defense of protesters, saying “you’re making your voices heard” at a White House event for tribal leaders."

So clearly the President has not been neglecting the issue.

We're missing the obvious argument here guys. So you think Donald Trump is a better choice than HRC? Books you honestly think that more will be done for the people of this country under Trump than Clinton?
Secondly there is a simple fix for getting the progressive agenda pushed through. Elect more progressives, its really that simple. Use the powerful super computer we inappropriately call our phones and research candidates in your local area. See who stands for and votes for the issues that concern you. If it takes more than an hour I'll give you 20 bucks. People are lazy to the point of insanity and expect change that is where the real problem lies.

You know my stance on this TDK, I always seek to engender dialogue even when there is deep disagreement, and to bring facts for others who may be reading along. Both the liberals and conservatives of us here at WWBM have been, and will in the future be frustrated with the other side, but as long as we all strive for understanding and truth, then I think the conversations are worthwhile.

I'm on my phone so I'll make it as short as possible.

The reason we need people voting for Jill Stein is because if she gets 5% of the votes, the Green Party gets federal funding which will raise their profile for federal positions like Congress, etc.

There are currently Green politicians as mayors, and city council members, etc around the country, but to raise their profile, they need federal funding.

As for Trump vs Clinton, I firmly believe the ONLY way for the Progressive movement to continue the momentum is for Trump to win. Like I said before, Clinton isn't a Progressive and she's so entrenched in politics, she's beholden to her corporate and Wall Street overlords.

The only way to force the Democrats to move back to the left is for Trump to win.

A Clinton presidency = DOA progressive movement.

If she wins, I will come back in a year with the I told you so.
