Who'se going to be in Netflix's Defenders?? When I was a kid I seem to remember almost every superhero had a cameo in that group. Too bad Netflix can't include the Beast in the group.
I just finished ep 6 and it seems I was wrong about the timeline. I thought all this went down prior to him Cage meeting Jessica Jones. Nope. This is after JJ and season 2 of Daredevil.
Yeah the timeline for all the shows are more or less linear with events. They do a lot of seeding of things for upcoming characters/shows and future seasons for the already released shows. As you get to the end of the series you may (if you are familiar with Iron Fist and his supporting cast) notice some seeding for Iron Fist. They did some big seeding for Iron Fist in the first season of Daredevil in fact.
I think Rosario Dawson just let out that Claire Temple probably won't be in THE DEFENDERS or she doesn't have any scenes with Jessica Jones. https://twitter.com/rosariodawson/status/783492251737526273 I hope it's the latter.
I'm only 4 episodes into "Luke Cage", so I'm trying to avoid spoilers all over the net. But in the last 18 hours, i've seen at least 3 different people on social media or on other forums saying they are white folks are complaining that "Luke Cage" is racist tv show because it has a majority black cast. Is this true?
I just did a Twitter search for "Luke Cage" & HOLY SHIT, This really is a thing: https://twitter.com/ComplexMag/status/783141633474826240 http://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2016/10/luke-cage-racist-says-white-people Are these people trolling OR have they never seen a TV show or Movie with a majority black cast?
Both! You have some trolling and you have some that don't see the hypocrisy because they are so used to watchign shows where the majority of the cast is white. Besides it's not like LUKE CAGE didn't give white people prominent roles in the show. Scarfe and Dr. Burstein especially have key roles on the show.
I'm listening today's episode of Tariq Nasheed's podcast & he's discussing why some white folks are complaining about "Luke Cage" (The reason is basically what The Dark King posted). He mentioned they had the exact same issues with the 1992 movie "Boomerang" & that's why the movie had such bad review from critics. I guess that makes sense. I watched "Boomerang" for the 1st time last year. I did not understand why the movie only had a 38% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes & 45% on Metacritic.
Nice movie poster but kinda sucks no word from the Gambit movie that was supposed to be released this month.
Awesome! I hope with this being the last Wolverine movie that they won't retire the character though.
