I just clocked out for my lunch break. After coming out of the men's room, I noticed a young couple walking in. The woman walked ahead of the man. The man reached out and grabbed the woman's left arm and Then it all hits the fan. The woman yanked her arm away from the man and said that he hurt her. She even showed him her left breast partially. The man explained that he was trying to keep her from trying to get out of the car while driving on the turnpike. She grabbed his cell phone and threw it in my direction. The man looked at me and back at the woman as she walked out of the store. I handed the phone back to the man. I asked what had happened. "Bad break up," he replied. I told him that I was sorry for what happened and walked with him out to the parking lot. When we arrived at his parked vehicle, the woman had been throwing things out of the man's vehicle. I had helped him gather the things around the vehicle, including a photo album and photographs of the couple together. There were even photographs of the couple and children. The woman sat in his vehicle. More insults and accusations of cheating emerged, including an accusation that the woman cheated on the man with a woman. She fired back by saying that the man had 11 women that he cheated on her with. A police officer and my assistant manager arrived. The officer took over and I advised the guy to let the woman cool off before I left. As I walked inside, I couldn't help but feel very bad for this couple. I am thankful that I am still in the "Friend Zone." I have no idea what will happen next to this couple. Perhaps, despite everything, all is forgiven and forgotten...maybe.
That's entertainment right there!! Slightly psychopathic. It is crazy to think what went so wrong in pplz lives to allow for such measures. That's a lot of cheating though. The dude deserves a gold plated pimp cup. Count yourself lucky lol
Which one? The meeting with two drunk black strippers or the encounter with a guy who was whacked out on heroin? Or some drama which occurred during my early college days? That and much more.
There was a morning when I and another co-worker saw a real pawg and trust me, she was REAL. She was a brunette, height of about 5'5 or 5'6. She wore a tight dress. She was nothing like the other women who come in.
Drama-free is the way to be. This is one of many that I had experienced in my life. Drama pops up sporadically in Wal-Mart. From time to time, we get prank phone calls. So, we simply don't answer the phone after hours because it's not a person from the district or main office. Live, observe and learn.
Surprise I had just clocked out of the job. I walked out to y vehicle. I climbed in. I stopped when I heard a strange sound. It sounded like a small animal. I looked under my vehicle. Nothing there. I heard the sounds again. I opened the hood of my vehicle and heard it again. I looked closer and saw it. A baby kitten. It was grey in color. It mewed and hissed at me. I kept the hood up to let air in. I dared not start the vehicle because the heat could kill the kitten. I called a veterinarian hospital and even the receptionist heard the kitten. I was advised to contact fire and rescue. I had a bitch of a time trying to contact someone and I even bought some cat food for it to coax it out. But it didn't budge. A saw a police officer drive into the parking lot and I flagged the officer over to my vehicle. I told him about the kitten. He walked over and saw it. He put on some gloves and tried to reach it. We were both glad that it didn't get caught in the belts. Two other officers and fire and rescue arrived. They didn't see it but they did hear it, also. The firefighters decided to try using a CO2 fire extinguisher to force it out. That was tried but it still didn't budget. Then the decided to use a water fire extinguisher. After two tries, it ran out, shocking one of the officers, who yelled out,"SHIT!" The kitten ran into the woods. The officers and the fire and rescue crew had a big laugh. I was relieved that the kitten was out alive and safe. I thanked everyone before leaving the job.
Wow Gorath, sounds like the parking lot of your store is the place to be if you want some entertainment
It can be sometimes. Other than that, it's rather quiet. Then, of course, we do sometimes have drivers who come in or drive through as if it and the rest of the roads around the area are the set for The Fast And The Furious.
Where There's Smoke... I was rushing to get to work. As soon as I turned into the parking lot, I noticed some activity in front of the store. I saw police and fire and rescue vehicles. I saw people leaving the store. I saw a fellow co-worker and asked what had happened. He told me that there was a fire in the store and the store had to be evacuated. I walked over to another associate. He asked if I was maintenance. I said I was and I was given a surgical mask. I went inside and noticed how smokey it was. I clocked in and went to find the equipment I needed. I went to see the area. I saw what looked like a mass of charred springs belonging to a mattress. Several, in fact. The floor was incredibly dirty. Soot, yellow powder from fire extinguishers mixed with water. The dust covered the area around the site of the fire. We were told to clean the area. I began to sweep up the charred remains and dust while a female firefighter(who was also a lieutenant) took photographs of the remains. A few minutes later, an Arson Investigator came to the scene. He asked everyone in the area about the fire and the remains. We told him about finding the lighter that was used. We then got the code; we shouldn't be cleaning up the crime scene until after the crime scene unit examines it first. I had learned that an assistant manager was injured while he and an employee were trying to fight the fire and a couple of HD televisions were stolen during the chaos. I and others began to speculate that the fire could have been started by the same ones who stole the televisions. Perhaps someone else started the fire and some people thought that it was the perfect ruse to steal the televisions during the evacuation. It was all coincidental. The overhead cameras could have captured the incident. I hoped that it captured the incident. These two incidents may cost us our quarterly bonus in January. All night long we worked in a store that was closed until 7 in the morning. We worked all night. Stopped to have sausages, chips and drinks for lunch. When I clocked out, I walked over to greet our head manager(he was working with us also). He shook my hand and complimented me for my part in cleaning the store. I smiled and told him that I did the best I could. He was happy. So was I. And I was very tired. I went home to get some sleep and to prepare for another night. Who knows how that will turn out?
