Yah I know. It's beyond aggravating too.

Clearly none of these idiots have been afraid for their life, not had a place to live, or food for their kids. When people are in a mode of survival they can only see the immediate. They don't have the luxury of being able to focus on things that are about the future. It's really easy to sit in suburbia and talk about how they just need to get their ass to school. Their reality isn't seeing their friends and family members shot down in the street simply because they were there.

Poverty....a morality issue. Actually it is, it's immoral that we as a society allow poverty to exist. It's not individual's morality issue that causes them to be poor.

Next time you head on down that street and dude snatches your purse or God forbid something else make sure you keep telling yourself "he had no choice." That will make you feel better than that hot shower.

Why is it that you can't seem to follow simple logic?

Because someone is able to see how people do things they do, doesn't mean that they are condoning their actions.

Some of us actually DO things to make a difference rather than whining and complaining about things and knocking those who are out doing something because it's not what you think they should be doing or in the ways you think.

As you have been asked so many times....what's your solution? What are YOU doing to make a difference??

The solution? Mother fuckers need to stop fucking robbing and killing plain and simple there NO reason to ever take it to that far. I go out of my way to help people that want to help themselves. I give Heads up on jobs and make sure I get the business cards of people that I see doing lawns that actually know English. I give free personal training and meal plans. I ALWAYS have a job hook up so I can't tell you how many young men I have got on at the railroad or a railroad comtractor and etc. I'm a good welder and have a welding machine, if someone inquires I help them learn the trade and point them in the direction to take it further. When I'm rebuilding a engine or transmission or doing car work in general I always have a "helper" to show how to do the work. Usually if they can't pay to fix their own car I will look over their shoulder to show them how to fix it. When asked about what kind of used car to buy I will go with them to pick the car up and make sure they know the pieces of shit to stay away from. I do what I can with the shit I know how to do.

Now what do you do besides making excuses for pieces of shit that don't want to do shit for themselves?

I've never made excuses for anyone. The part that you don't seem to understand is that if you don't realize what the cause is and deal with that there is no solution.

That's great you are out there helping this or that person. Why is it that you are so quick to complain about how and what other's are doing? Maybe there are better ways to go about things. I may think that you could be doing more, on a larger scale, etc. But so what! You are doing what you do...motivated in the ways you are. Is that the best way? Maybe, maybe not. The point is that there are those out there who are doing what they can in the ways that they choose to do so - no different than you do.

My entire life, on a daily basis from the time I was a teenager (I'm now 51) has been devoted to helping others. I don't happen to be one who thinks what's going on across the country in Chicago is something to overlook because it's not in my back yard (as some in here have said) I realize that each person can not address every issue in the world. But there are some underlying issues that are prevalent throughout our country and they need the focus, attention, and action of every single person possible.

I know you feel education is not a priority because these kids are "surviving" but l don't agree 100 on that. There are many organizations and outreaches to help so they can focus on getting an education.
Now l think a revolution in how kids are taught might be in order..l would even suggest specialized schools for Black young boys and teach them what would interest them.

Government programs, whilst helpful and needed in many areas and instances, tend to keep people poor in perpetuity.

Education tends to give people a better chance at getting out of poverty.

Not just black but ALL YOUNG GIRLS AND BOYS. If you head north of Houston to a area named Cleveland tx you will see the type of white people and Hispanic people that news conveniently leaves out of their narrative. White and Hispanic Piece of shit parents that give a fuck about their kids. I have seen it. And it's truly disgusting.

Education can be a trade as well.

The education system needs to be overhauled. It is possible to address the issues of poverty and education together. It's not an either or situation. We need to do things in a holistic manner.

There are organizations and programs. However, there are not enough and many of those that do exist are a mess. Many programs are focused on one aspect and drop many others. Which is understandable if you know anything about how they are run. Comprehensive programs need to be created and implemented. The sad thing is that we do have answers to many of the issues. We have some proven programs but because of all the ridiculous political garbage many of them are abandoned and forgotten.

For those idiots who are going to say things about bleeding liberals trying to give everyone programs.....I'm far from that. However, as a society we are greatly failing our children and that has horrendous impact on all of us. It is inexcusable that children do not have enough to eat, a safe place to live and go to school. That's abuse and it creates generations of victims. Yet these are the same kids that will grow up and we expect to carry the community/society.

Blaming the victims in any realm is not productive.
