    Give it 5 mins...can you?

Have you ever tried a plant-based burger? I'm not talking garbage ones, but top quality?

No thanks. I am going to keep on eating meat and getting gainz!!! LOL... Generally speaking, I normally only eat meat once a week if that... But, I don't do Vegan and yes, I can tell the difference between a regular burger and plant based. I normally eat oatmeal with fruit and have lots of protein shakes. Although I don't eat a lot of meat, I am not going to stop eating it the few times I do.

The animals and the environment thank you for cutting back.

Meat on its own is bland. If you can appreciate the taste of a juicy plant based burger, you might keep eating them.

Please @ gains. Strongest male and Animal on the planet is vegan.

    It's the jobs!

"What the West really needs to take on the Islamic State is ... a jobs program.

That's what top State Department spokeswoman suggested when asked in a TV interview Monday night about what the U.S.-led coalition is doing to stop the slaughter of civilians by Islamic State militants across the region.

"We're killing a lot of them, and we're going to keep killing more of them. ... But we cannot win this war by killing them," department spokeswoman Marie Harf said on MSNBC's "Hardball." "We need ... to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it's lack of opportunity for jobs, whether --"

At that point, Harf was interrupted by host Chris Matthews, who pointed out, "There's always going to be poor people. There's always going to be poor Muslims."

Harf continued to argue that the U.S. should work with other countries to "help improve their governance" and "help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people." :?

Come on stop it fam. This shit was not a test run. And I'm sure some asshole has done something similar in NY the difference is it probably wasn't a Muslim dude. Funny how Dylan Roof shooting up a church full of black people wasn't a test run for the race war even though dude claimed to be a white supremist trying to start a race war but one guy is a test run for Isis. Knock it off you know that doesn't make sense.

Well I don't eat much meat outside of fish and chicken but what does that have to do with what I said?
So we should only be able to talk about the ridiculous persecution of brown people who practices a non Christian religion only if we don't eat meat?

BTW I fully agree with and support the notion that raising live stock produces way more methane than we can handle as a planet but I also recognize a lot of the shit conservatives say and do is purely a shut down tactic with absolutely no intention to do something about the point they raise.

I have and don't like them. What is considered to be a top quality one?

I'm not feeling the vegan philosophy at all. Honey is very healthy, I'm not removing it from my diet because of "bees suffering" lol. If anything I would be a vegetarian, but not anytime soon if ever.

I eat meat everyday but keep the red meat to a minimum, once every two weeks maybe. Turkey burgers usually do it for me but every now and then I have to have the real deal. I really enjoy having a real burger or medium rare ribeye. Doubt I will ever give it up.

Especially if we talking bourbon burgers off the grill. I won't be wasting my whiskey on turkey or soy bean. lol

In my journey towards giving up all meat, im down to just turkey and salmon, I have tried other alternatives that are lousy. That being said give Beyond Meat a try if you have not, a little pricey, but imo the taste and texture is as close to the real thing as I have come accross. They impressed Bill Gates enough to invest in the company.

Hah, that gif.. :freehug: *l so wanna e-squeeze yer cheeks*

Top quality is SweetEarth, Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods (see link below to Loki)

Curious why do you think you could never give it up? I was just like you.. I never made the connection.
I then realized meat is a lie.

The hidden torture is a given. Then add the hormones, the additives and injectable chemical dyes to make it pink when it's actually dead-flesh grey...not to mention you have to add spices and herbs -and bourbon - to even make it palatable, because dead flesh has no taste...l could not justify my selfish greed any longer.

The fact alone knowing that you directly contribute to the Houlocast and Slavery Hell of animals, just because you've been conditioned to think you "crave" their dead-flesh should be enough to turn you off.

But check this out, Loki..ever heard of Impossible Foods?. It took them FIVE YEARS! (and $80 million - Google tried to but them out, they said no)..but they did it (released in July).
It's healthy, smells and tastes just like it..and even runs juice on the grill..thanks to..

"..the inclusion of heme, a molecule found in high concentration in animal blood that has a distinct iron-y, meaty flavor" that the company extracts from plants..

    LOL

I'm going to disagree with you saying dead meat has no taste. You can season poultry, fish and beef the same and the taste will still be different. My ex tried to get me to stop eating all meat except for fish. She even made spaghetti with fish meat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the same. It had nothing to do with her skills she was a good cook.

I can give up meat, but why? I can stay healthy with my current diet and actually enjoy it so there isn't really a need to change. The only way I may change is if these products like beyond meat are really indistinguishable from the real deal.

If we have been conditioned to eat meat why does nearly every culture on earth eat it? In order for the conditioning to be fact there must have been a time were all humans ate only vegetable and fruit. So when was that?

Why would you use words like holocaust and slavery in reference to animals? Camels, horses, and dogs have been serving humans for many centuries. As long as you take care of them whats the issue? Is a police dog a slave?

Animals shouldn't be made to suffer during the process of hunting or farming . They can be killed with virtually little to no pain if done correctly especially on a farm. We are at the top of the food chain, and just like these animals that you care so much about we eat meat and there is nothing wrong with that. If they were at the top of the chain they would be eating us,and sometimes they do anyway. So why the sad face?

Human beings are animals. Most animals consume meat.
I agree we shouldn't have these huge industrial farms where chickens, pigs and cows sometimes live from birth to death in a metal pen, but I really think it would be hard to feed to ALL the world's people on a strictly vegan diet.

    I have no idea.

    But I do love beef/chicken/fish.:smt079

Bliss, were you always like this??lol
(I'm trying to imagine you in HS and younger and you freaking out anytime one of your friends chomps down on a hamburger.lol)

It's shocking, at least to me that a woman from Australia, the outback, is against meat consumption.:smt107
There are animals I absolutely agree we should not eat, like pets, but that's it.
