I had read earlier ( was about to post it) that he said he planned to go to a Trump Rally and hurt any protesters there.

Also that as he ran away ( the black guy was giving chase unaware he had been stabbed), the assailant tripped and knocked himself out.
A boot to the head would have been so tempting...
