You hit the nail square on the head. I can think of worse things to spend my money on helping people who are actually in need.
Well...yeah. I thought that was pretty obvious in my posts. There's a lot more room to trim $600 billion than there is to trim $60 billion. And given what we spend the money on, the effects of spending less on our military wouldn't have a much less severe impact on day to day lives than cutting anything else I mentioned. And if not a few million then make it a few billion. But my overall point still stands: cut the biggest thing first and then work your way down to smaller things still makes more sense than the reverse.
I'm not fond of Corp welfare and tax-free incentives, but they do hire a lot of local people. (Comcast here in Philly is a great example.) What's humane got to do with sneaking into the country to feed on the teat? Needy people? Many come here for that specifically.. These are all over, btw, especially NYC. City officials are aware of the practice at the Santa Anita Inn in Arcadia 'Birth tourism' allows babies born to foreign mothers to hold American citizenship - and a host of rights in the U.S. Foreign mothers paying $20,000 for average two-month stay at hotel, meals, nursing care and help with immigration paperwork.. Assistant City Manager Jason Kruckeberg said: 'A number of the rooms over there are being rented by pregnant individuals. They city has been aware of that for quite some time.' .. The practice is popular with Chinese women who travel to the U.S. on tourist visas in order to give birth to children who automatically become American citizens.
Mine stands too...cut both. Imagine what that would mean..we could increase UB and WIC, since you mentioned those.
I mentioned those more as examples, really. But depending on the circumstances I wouldn't have a problem with that. There's not one area of spending that doesn't have some sort of fraud involved whether it's poor people receiving excessive benefits or rich people getting richer through no-bid contracts, kickbacks, and the like.
Just when you think Donald Trump can't get any worse. Kicks a baby out of the room. Fighting against a military family. Not supporting the speaker of the house. Paul, you should have stood your ground. Now you are paying for it.
First off corporate welfare does not and has not created jobs here. That's always been a misnomer but let's say they do so the fuck what. They aren't doing it out of kindness they do it to turn a profit. They use us to get money they don't employ us to be decent. And again sure let's make stricter immigration rules but I want my country educated and healthy that's not going to come from focus equal effort on in keeping people out as it will from just cutting some of the military spending
Yeah that's why military spending is so high. The contracts. Something has to be done like limiting profit margin, but if course the company's accountants will try to overstate bullshit expenses like R@D. That's when you hold them accountable and put them where they belong. Federal prison. Imagine that. Arresting the real criminals. Let me leave before I piss off the conservatives. Lol
And Trump refused to endorse John McCain, too. This is after McCain explicitly supported him, which he did after Trump mocked his military service. I can't help but think back to the GOP convention when Ted Cruz refused to endorse Trump because Trump insulted his family. So yeah, I respect Ted Cruz on something more than I respect John McCain and that's some fucked-up shit. I still think that he's trying to piss off as many people as possible because he desperately doesn't want to win this election and is trying to offend as many people as he can before November. All of his behavior points to a man who knows that he is way out of his depth.
Who can forget when Hillary decided to try to pander to the black vote. Lol
Lol, l missed that one.. Gotta love this one.. I don't think any of the hosts believed her for one second, lol
Trump shows his hatred for the military again http://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/30/trum...nse-to-khizr-khans-blistering-dnc-speech.html
I'm starting to lose track of how many times he's completely spat in face of people serving in the Armed Forces. And I still can't get my mind around how he mocked John McCain's military service. Yeah he gave us Sarah Palin, but McCain's service to his country is unimpeachable.
I always liked McCain for a long time. I voted for him against bush. Yeah and what's funny the GOP has always claimed their love for the military but......
Yeah, they also proclaimed their love for good, Christian morality, too. But, with Trump as their leader, well ..
James Meredith is "special": You, as a black conservative, literally could not have picked a worse example of another black conservative.
I would have considered voting for McCain myself in 2000 but once Bush got the nomination, I was out. I was in college then. Given Bush's years in office (and what the GOP has become ever since) I can count the number of Republicans that I'd vote for on one hand. I seriously though they would have voted for Ted Cruz or something. But I saw an article a while back that said that Trump got the biggest chunk of the evangelical voters which is why Cruz lost. Once Trump won Georgia it put the nail in Cruz's coffin.
Not a conservative but ok lol. Even Obama Clinton or trump says stuff I agree with at some point. Might not agree with or like the guy but I agree with this statement. So if hitler said the sky is blue? Would you say "but but you're a racist!"
Are you sure about that? On political topics nearly everything you post is from a conservative viewpoint. And I'm not trying to insult you by calling you conservative, I'm just making an observation based off what I've seen. And if you aren't one you definitely play one on TV. As far a Hitler saying "the sky is blue" (which is an empirically true statement) versus Meredith's statement that white liberals are black Americans' worst enemy (which is completely his opinion) those two can't even be compared. EDIT: Forgot the "not"
