I can understand not being supportive of my dream, as long as she isn't actively undermining me.

 

What's your dream exactly? It'd have to be pretty mental for you to be ok with her not supporting it ? Lol

 

I don't think so. People are all different and I am okay with my girlfriend not particularly supporting what I want to do as long as she is not actively working against me. Ihave a lot of left political objectives, and am involved in anti-environmental racism and green development efforts. I have dated women who are much more centrist sociopolitically, with more or less success.

 

Each to their own. That's fair enough. If you're ok with it that's all that matters.

 

I'm not saying it's easy or smooth-sailing, lol, just that I don't necessarily object. Being anti-materialistic and dating a pretty woman who loves to shop ain't easy. Lol
