Unfortunately, we have some very sick people on both sides of this "divide", not just racial, but to many aspects of how this society even operates for everybody, not just non-white people. There is no real solution to this because everyone has to be on one unified side, which obviously is going to be impossible. From my own perspective, many white people and black people of both genders share a lot of blame for the conditions that we're in now. To a lesser extent, other non-white racial groups are to blame as well.

I heard Obama's speech in Poland today and he mentioned (amongst many other topics) that the US is only advanced nation unique in its persistent level of violence in comparison to other countries. What do we blame that on? Do that we blame that on non-whites, whites, video games, politics, movies, ISIS/ISIL, the environment, food, media etc? No. It has to be us as people. When you wake up one morning and start your day, you may have to think about someone doing something to you at work, after work, or if you have a significant other that's acting up.

Also, there is a perception from women that I've been seeing on forums set up exclusively for them, and they see this a "male issue" and not their issue because the perpetrators are almost always men, most of which they don't like.

    Ie - I saw this: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-campaign-official-blames-clinton-for-encouraging-dallas-shooting/

Now, go here and look at this: http://batteredmen.com/NISVS.htm

So we know now that the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Justice partnered up to conduct the study in the site listed above a few years ago. Even though the criminal justice system is composed of more men than women, rates of violence between men and women are even. Women can be just as violent as Men can be, and I also recall reading about accusations that Hillary Clinton used to have violent outbursts in the 90's. I have two articles below.

Hillary has long history of beating up Bill behind closed doors: book

’90s Scandals Threaten to Erode Hillary Clinton’s Strength With Women
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/21/u...illary-clintons-strength-with-women.html?_r=0

Somehow, our political choices this year represent the moral conditioning of most Americans now. I'm repulsed by both choices, but will vote for Clinton because Trump is a whole lot worse.

Cuba Gooding Jr reveals he broke down in tears when learning he met slain Dallas police officer (center) and had posed for Twitter snap with him.

On February 25, Zamarripa tweeted a photo showing him and his partner, both in uniform, with the star.
He wrote: 'The great @cubagoodingjr. Thanx for taking the pic with my partner and I. Hope your stay in #Dallas was great sir!'

Zamarripa's heartbroken wife recently posted a moving tribute to the cop and Navy veteran online.

Kristy Villasenor, 33, a mother-of two who had two-year-old daughter Lyncoln with Zamarripa, honored the man she nicknamed 'my lobster'.

She wrote: 'This is something I never thought could ever happen to us. We were not done spending our lives together.

'Because of this disgusting display of hate, my daughter will not have her daddy to walk her down the aisle and my son will not have his "best buddy" to play football and baseball with.

'I finally found the love of my life and now have to endure a lifetime without my lobster
    .'

Zamarripa was a Navy veteran who joined the military shortly after leaving high school and had served three tours of Iraq
before leaving five years ago to join the police force.

In Zamarripa's final tweet, sent out on July 4, he wrote: 'Happy Birthday to the greatest country on the face of this planet. My beloved America!'

I definately agree that there is no long term solution. They can try to create peace and unity but it will be short lived. If justice was served a long time ago to the officers wrongly kill for the fun of it then maybe just maybe it wouldn't have amounted to what it is now. America once again in the spotlight for mass shootings. It's just totally sad to see that this will never end. How's that little girl who witnessed her father get shot ever going to look at a white cop any other way than a killer. The cops need the harshest punishments for all of this as do the men who took out the cops. I'm assuming that they no longer resort to capsicum spray and tazzers. Much more convenient to just shoot someone dead rather than use the lesser alternatives. The images and videos are all so haunting and unbelievable. If only guns were out of the equation it's be a whole different story.

As usual....the events of this week are shining a light on people and how they really think and feel about things. I've been reminded why I don't really care for social media. It's beyond upsetting how ignorant people can be, it's heartbreaking and it makes me sick to my stomach.

    Damn well said
And they were acting like this before we were "freed"
Actually police were originally government paid slave catchers for runaway slaves, that protect serve stuff didn't happen until way after.

This won't change how they interact with us at all, its not about fear because a white man can have a gun pointed at them and they will talk him down, he can swing on them and they peacefully resolve the situation. It simply comes down to them not seeing us as human beings. Conservative white people have far more compassion for animals than they do for us, this a matter of complete and utter dehumanization.

    None taken lol
To be fair about this area I will say this cops use to harass blacks and latinos with all the stop and frisk bullshit but it has died down A LOT in the last few years.
