Do ya'll think this will only be a Indie/Limited Release movie? Especially seeing how Key & Peele's "Keanu" was a disappointment at the Box Office. I can't see this movie being any bigger than a smaller wide-release.
Now in post-production, Get Out will be rolled out by indie horror company BlumHouse Productions. They are well known for the Paranormal Activity, Insidious and Sinister franchises.
1. Keanu's box office makes no difference. 2. The release would be based upon the cost. If it has a indie-like budget then it will get an indie-like release. I don't think anyone is looking at this as being some future blockbuster.
I hope the feature offers a smart and scary experience without any concern about whether it plays on 300 screens or simply 3. I've seen some pretty good indie movies of late.
Trailer just dropped a couple hours ago: I'm surprised to see this movie is getting a major studio release from Universal Pictures. I always assumed it would be released by 1 of the big independent studios.
