Sooo I'm 31 now (gonna be 32 in Oct) and have a receding hairline now, so the next logical step is to buzz cut my hair. I've been buzzing my hair for years and started having a little recession around 26. It looks great for a few days buzzed, but eventually the recession shows and the horseshoe. What a pain! Honestly I get a LITTLE self conscious about it lol. I buzz my hair with some Wahl Clippers now with no guard and if need be my small trimmers (which overheats). The Balding Clippers were recommended to me. Essentially I like the buzzed look but not bald. Keeping it like this is perfect for me. Thoughts? Being able to maintain it is the thing. I'm lazy so I like shortcuts. Wake up, buzz if need be, go out the door. I don't always wear contacts, mostly glasses. Has anyone else used these clippers? Will these cut TOO low for my taste? Thoughts?
I haven't tried those before but if you ever get around to it, let me know how it works out. I don't mind paying my barber to do it because he does an excellent job but at the same time, I wouldn't mind being able to keep my head clean between visits to the shop.
I've been using the balding clippers for about 5 years. You get a really clean close cut with these clippers, I would highly recommend them.
I just use Magic Shave cream on my head and it works wonders. Smells like shit but works wonders for me.
As a fellow baldy, I concur. I do the same, and I kind of enjoy keeping that extra $20 in my pocket every Saturday.
I used Magic Shave Cream years ago, and the smell has just come back to me. I save a few quid by getting my lady to shave my head.
I've been bald since visiting family and trying to use their clippers to get ready to go to a Bootsy concert :smt042 Ended up shaving my head with razor and cream after using 4 different other shavers. Needless to say women were slapping and palming my head so much that I had to grab a few shots and retreat to a corner. The worse was yet to come because my hair doesn't grow back right :smt088 I was destined to go bald genetically. Anyway, I've been using ceramic blade clippers. The rechargeable, water proof ones from Norelco and Remington with the lithium ion battery. They work great and stay charged for about 2 months before needing recharged (that's at 2 clippings per week). They just stay in my gym bag. The come with different guards and the main blade is adjustable with a dial. I sometimes leave some peach fuzz. Women still want to rub my head so they are surprised when the feel the even hair and are like, "Oh, you aren't bald?" I do save bookoo bucks too. Biweekly haircuts at 15 each plus tips. I don't miss it eventhough I miss the barbershop chatter. I tried that Magic Shave on my face ones. Had skin coming off in some parts and hair still firmly attached in others. The worse part was not being able to take a razor to the attached hair per the instructions. Never tried it again.
