Too cool! I shook Obama's hand. Couldn't help but notice how soft it was. Felt weird in that respect. My hand was tougher than that by the time I finshed middle school, just from climbing trees and doing yard work.

I would have loved to meet champ. I just wanted to hear him joke or talk shit in person. He still seemed to have the same personality while suffering from Parkinson's. He just moved slower that's all.

Dubya, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were all of age during the Vietnam conflict, and all of them found a reason to skip out on serving.

John Kerry and John McCain were war heroes and voters acted like they weren't shit.

I do think Ali over-stepped the line with Frazier calling him a gorilla and ugly and an uncle tom was uncalled for. Especially when Frazier was nothing off the sort and Frazier loaned Ali money when he was banned for three years at boxing.

I think the irony between the two is when Ali was lighting the Olympic torch in 96, Frazier was outside desperately trying to flog his auto-bio and do some sign in’s to make some money and I think even Ali admitted that he should not have said some of the things he said about Joe.

But folks didn’t give a f*ck about Ali until he started shaking. He actually went broke for standing up for what he believed in. He was truly the GOAT in more ways than one.

I think people connected to the sports/entertainment worlds are more likely to get into IR in general...

Once upon a time, bm had the reputation that as soon as they made it (in entertainment or sports) they get themselves a ww.

Not sure that reputation was so deserved, but nowadays you see similar trends in bw and all other minorities who make it in entertainment or sports...

They all seem more likely to have a white spouse than the general population, in my observation...
