Entertainment news site Deadline is reporting that the director of the Flash movie is going to be 'Dope' director Rick Famuyiwa.

He will be joining Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) as the 2nd black director of this new era of major comic book movies.

I know Tim Story is technically the first black director of a comic book movie, but The Fantastic 4 movies were terrible, and these new movies are much higher profile than those movie were.

Interesting enough, The Flash (March 2018) and Black Panther (July 2018) premier just 4 months apart.

I actually thought the original Fantastic Four was a good movie.

They weren't bad. They just weren't great. Taken just as regular movies, they were worth seeing. The problem comes in when u start comparing them to the comics. Characters like Dr. Doom they just got all wrong. And, we don't even want to talk about the giant fart cloud posing as Galactus.

He was never pegged to do this movie in the first place. He is still doing the first Justice League movie as far as we know it now.

It's a good move, and I think it will pay off.
