Yes, Beyonce's "BeyHive" is insane. They are on a relentless quest to seek and destroy whoever "Becky with the good hair" is. First Rachel Roy; then Rachael Ray; now Rita Ora. When they're done with Rita Ora, the hive will move on to the next person. They feel that they MUST serve the queen. It's a cult Wonder how many of them even buy her tacos
LOL. That was probably her best screen performance. Hard to fail in a comedy when you're playing eye candy opposite Mike Meyers. Seriously though, I think she's an average actress for a pop music star.
Any of her fans willing to "destroy" whoever in the name of Beyonce is a moron. The BeyHive wouldn't fight this much to keep custody of the damn kids I bet. Anyone that identifies as a member of the "BeyHive" over high school graduation age is a fucking moron. Just call yourself a die hard fan. I saw one twitter post that said something like "Rachael Ray made chicken fajitas, so I'm no longer going to eat chicken fajitas". I'm like 'this bitch here......."
Just curious, but who would you personally say is a better female entertainer (that isn't dead or retired/ on hiatus)
Here's the unpopular TRUTH about Beyonce: She ENCOURAGES this rabid fandom. - She encourages them to worship her and live vicariously through her. - She condescends to her fans with her phony and shallow "activism" - She deliberately feeds this stupid tabloid BS while they try to seek and destroy the lives of those perceived to have offended the Queen herself. - She deliberately cultivates the image of the high school "Queen Bee" that dates the star QB Life has become high school writ large, with celebs being the "popular clique" and the rest of us desperately wanting their approval.
I saw Gladys Knight last year and at 70+ she'd still embarrass the hell out of Beyonce's Karaoke singing ass.
Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Adele, Jennifer Hudson, and Ariana Grande are all active can all sing RINGS around Beyonce. I will give you that Beyonce can dance and has better production people. However, I regularly hear black women say that Beyonce is the greatest singer ever. One black woman was on NPR the other day expressing that very sentiment
Are they fricking serious? I saw something about this online, but I thought it was just shoddy reporting from one of those gossip 'zines.
Alicia Keys has a distinct vocal style but she's far from a great singer. Pu-leeze. The other women on that list I agree are probably better pure vocalists than Beyonce. But that doesn't mean Beyonce can't sing.
I didn't say that Alicia Keys was a "great singer". I said she can sing better than Beyonce. Didn't say Beyonce can't sing. I answered the question of who can sing better than she can. For the record, I think that she has SOME singing ability. However, her rabid fans currently say that she is the greatest vocalist of our times and one of the greatest of all time. THAT is nonsense. As a pure business move the pretentious marketing of Beyonce is brilliant. If you say that to a member of the "BeyHive", you'd better duck.
The woman on NPR who said it, is in her mid 30s. That is the age group that I hear this from most often. But it is not unusual to hear women in their 40s engage in Beyonce worship, too. The "Beyonce is the greatest singer ever" has become more of a dogma for them, though.
Every generation has the "greatest singer ever" in the 90s/early 00s it was Mary J. Blige, now it's Beyonce
The "BeyHive" would tell you Beyonce is the greatest EVER (better than even Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin or anyone...EVER!) And as I said, there are many current singers that are better than Beyonce. Beyonce puts on a bigger spectacle for sure, but not in pure singing ability
