Ok she didn't actually say the word "racist" but she implied it.

IMO it's a mild slur against WW.

Saying it's racist is a bit much.
It would be like a White dude referring to all BM as a 'Tyrone'.

Very few words are in the racial epithet Hall Of Fame like n_gg_r.

But that doesn't change the fact that calling anyone outside of their birth name, let alone an entire group of women of a specific ethnic background, BECKY, is offensive.

I guess if I was a White chick I could see how it's kinda racist.

Regardless, someone like Beyonce probably shouldn't be using it since the term is MEANT to be offensive and a generalization for all WW.

If a non-WW called a WW I was with 'Becky', I'd be pissed off and ready to beef.:smt076

Who made this in reference to WW? I thought it was classed with the words blow job, head, neck, mouth action, throat, dome, ect. I personally know 2 black Beckys.

Becky started out I think as a BJ reference, but I've seen it used more often lately as a term to call WW.

    This

It's just a general term referring to WW. Just like Lee, Ling Ling, Daquan, Shanequa, Consuela, Juan, etc. If anyone is offended by it they have thin skin and need to get a reality check. At least Becky is a formal name.

I always thought this term referred to a BJ and not a white girl. It's not offensive I'd prefer Becky to Ginger

I always thought it was referencing a blow job from a white girl. I've never heard it used in relation to any other race of women?

And for the OP, no it's not racist.

I thought it started out as a general slang term meaning women (not of a specific race or what they would do)

    Things evolve and change though.

It's hard to believe these are references to women who give great BJs.lol

Becky has become general slur IMO for WW.

Mediatakeout ironically doesn't use the term often in their headlines, but lipstickalley has the term littered in nearly every post about WW.

When a BW uses the term 'Becky', it's meant as a straight up diss.

If the term becomes more mainstream and spoken on television and isn't just something said on social media, I think the term is going to experience a backlash.

You'd be surprised how many people have never heard the term before.

I have never heard of the term "Becky" as a racist insult against white women. I think the term "Susie Snowflake" is sometimes used in this way, especially to describe a white woman from a wealthy family...

Oh, my, God Becky, look at her butt
It is so big, she looks like
One of those rap guys' girlfriends.
But, ya know, who understands those rap guys?
They only talk to her, because,
She looks like a total prostitute, 'kay?
I mean, her butt, is just so big
I can't believe it's just so round, it's like out there
    I mean gross, look
    She's just so, black

More than likely this is the genesis of "Becky" being used as a general slang term for white women.

I've seen it be used to refer to giving head and white women. I don't use that word period since I do find it offensive when using seriously and not funny enough to use jokingly. If you can use a rave based name in a funny setting, I wanna hear it.

Yea, I don't know. I always thought becky was just a name for most of my life. When you don't grow up directly in the culture, most of this stuff zips by you.

Iggy has a long track record of saying dumb racist shit though. No other white woman could've brought this shit up?
