The thing is, most people don't understand that.

The discrepancy is because the message of feminism has become unclear and even contradictory to a lot of people.

 

This ridiculous article is FIVE YEARS OLD. Clearly it was relegated to the back pages back then, where it should have stayed.
Anyone seriously getting their knickers in a knot over this non-story of one stupid survey, does not understand that Feminism has way more important things it concerns itself with, than this tripe.

According to Merriam Webster, the definition of chivalrous is:
:behaving in an honorable or polite way especially toward women
: showing respect and politeness especially toward women


If we take into account modern-day/third-wave feminism, the brand of feminism that is popular in NA, Europe, and Aus...the whole notion of chivalry is sexist because you're treating women differently than a man.

Treat feminist women as you would a man and they should be happy.

 

OK i gotta be honest when i was younger and single i used to open doors for ladies just to check out their booty. Wonder if it was sexist. Hmmmm( in deep thought with hand on chin, forefinger tapping my cheek and my eyes staring into blank space)

I was raised to hold the door open for anyone,regardless
of their gender,age etc, when I am entering or exiting a building
or room and see someone else coming or leaving,too.
