Breaking Amish Stars Meets New Culture

My girlfriend is ex- Mennonite.. So, we watch this show almost every week. Its crazy how different their culture is from ours.

 

Interesting, how did you two meetings?


I was out and about at Ikea the other day and their was a group of Amish women there, this one in particular gave me a real friendly smile.

 

I met an Amish or Mennonite couple in Wal-Mart. They were not dressed up in their traditional garb. They were tourists. I asked if they needed assistance. They politely declined and said that they were fine. They thanked me for the offer.

 

I have always found Amish people & their lifestyle fascinating to read about them going to have to check out the show

 

They were probably Mennonite.

 

They'd have to be because I guessed the couple drove. The Amish rarely drive cars. I remember the reality show Amish Mafia. Those in that group did drive trucks.

 

In PA, after they join the church, they don't drive vehicles. They get rides with the "English" (non-Amish). Walmart has buggy parking as do a lot of other public places.

 

You should have said hello. But, don't let that long dress fool you. Some of them are out there.

I actually met my girl on FB of all places. She had been out of the church for a few months. She said I looked like I had an interesting story to tell.

At first I thought she was "catfishing" me. Just trying to see what she could get away with. So, I said if she wants to play games, I'll game the shit out of her. Well, long story short, I found out she was exactly who and what she says she is. We've been together since 09'.

Crazy thing is, I'm her first and only boyfriend. That's why I'm very careful not to betray her trust. She literally is thee most loving and genuine person I've ever met.

I always joke that she left the church and met the Devil. She doesn't think that's funny. Which, of course makes it that much more funnier....lol
