I think we may need to amend the thread then and say "see them in their prime"

I have been a Duran Duran fan since middle school and I have never seen them in concert.

I doubt I ever will. They're too old now. The concert wouldn't be the same.

Plus, I'm not a fan of concerts. They're ridiculously expensive now and you can barely see anything.

Plus, the singer never sounds as good live as he/she does in their overly produced studio songs. LOL.

I recall seeing three major rock bands in concert and one indie metal band. They were Night Ranger, Weird Al Yankovic and Foghat. I saw Night Ranger and Weird Al Yankovic at Disney World in 1984(Grad Night). Foghat at a small venue. They were great. The indie metal band was at a small venue. They had the skills, talent, big hair and attitude to match. It was there I learned about the hazards of being a rock musician. I was invited to see Steppenwolf and Gre All an in concert. Ironically, I declined because the writer's bug bit me pretty hard that night.

Black Uhuru was a rapper. The first time I ever saw him was in an episode of 21 Jump street as the estranged song of the team's commanding officer played by Steven Wright(The Blues Brothers as the Illinois state trooper).

I've pretty much seen who l have wanted to see, except MJ.

I do agree with BOB MARLEY. He would be phenomenal to watch live. Any of his live clips and documentary concert footage l see, is mesmerizing.

And Tupac would have been great, l feel.

I saw Duran Duran. Great concert. I was smitten.
My wish was Abba and Bay City Rollers when l was a little girl...tried for days to get tickets off the radio.. couldn't get them) :-(o

Some artists do sound good live. Bruce Sringsteen for example, was awesome live. So much so, l went to two of his.
It also depends on the Venues they perform at.
James Brown sounded great, So did KC &Sunshine Band.
Earth Wind & Fire actually didn't move me much after the first hour. They sound best on record.
The Eagles sounded exactly like their albums.
    Janet Jackson sucked, soundwise.
Ed Sheeran sounded amazing live. He can play that guitar!
Prince, because he chats to you, and you don't get that from studio recordings.
George Clinton and Parliament were curazy live.
Taylor Swift puts on a great show...she pulls you in.
One Direction don't really put much effort into their performance, they just show up, but the tweens love them, regardless of their voices lacking.
LeAnn Rhimes and Tim McGraw are amazing. LeAnn can sang! But by far, Keith Urban live was the best as far as Country singers. He puts his all in it. (to name a few) (So does Zac Brown Band. They JAMMED!

I saw EWF back in the early 2000s and they killed it. Verdeen White must've been on something the way he was bouncing around the stage.

    No kidding!

I've seen them twice. Once in a very small inside venue in 2006 or 2007 and I was ready to get on a plane to go see them the next weekend in Vegas because the show was soooo good. The second time I saw them was in Tahoe with Chicago outside. They sortof played second to Chicago but were MUCH better than Chicago was.

I go in spurts with concerts. That year I went to 15 major concerts and some smaller ones. Lately it's tougher to find ones I really want to go to. I've been really lucky to be able to see some legends.

Oh and there are many who sound great live! Some are actually better live.
