To each his own. Frankly based upon the love for such lowbrow, mindless TV and film on this site I'm surprised anyone here would call this movie garbage. I didn't think it was as good as it should have been, but I liked it overall. Funny moments, cool cons, breezy atmosphere, gorgeous cinematography, fantastic chemistry between the leads (which led WB to wooing both for Suicide Squad) and of course....Margot Robbie who is sort of a special effect in her own right and almost worth the price of admission just to stare at for 90 minutes.

Nice flick. I saw a movie poster of another project Smith and Robbie are doing. Doubt there would be any IR.

The high stakes football betting game with the Asian whale played excellently by B.D. Wong(Dr. George Huang in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), was the best part of the film, in my humble opinion.

I think that there isn't because of one person; Jada.

The other movie poster must be Suicide Squad because that's the only other film they've done together. That is an ensemble superhero (or actually supervillain) motion picture. But word is that Smith's character and Robbie's do sorta hook up but it is complicated because her character is kinda nuts and is also had been in an abusive relationship with the Joker whom she may still have an attraction too. As I've written before WB wooed Margot Robbie and Smith for these roles after seeing the early returns/footage of "Focus and liked the chemistry they shared. If such chemistry was a criteria then it must play an important part to the movie because it would mean Deadshot and Harley Quinn (their characters) have a lot of interaction.

And can people stop with the nonsense that Jada told Will what to do in regards of how his character and Margot's character. You make it seem as if she is some jealous control-freak.

If Jada wore the pants and she was as jealous of Margot as some of you claim, then Will would not have agreed to Suicide Squad. It was Margot Robbie after all who admittedly claimed she badgered Will to take the role of Deadshot after she had accepted the part of Harley. If Jada was concerned and had THA much control Will Smith would be doing the ID4 sequel instead.

I bring up Jada because at the beginning of her and Will's relationship, she was on Oprah and discussed the issue of onscreen relationships. Will mentioned that he'd like to work with someone like Jennifer Lopez. Jada then asked, "What about me and whom I want to work with?"

Jada had the medical drama Hawthorne. Will had some input on the she. It was was ridiculously rumored that Jada and the white male on the show(his name Vartan and was on Alias) had love scenes that were all considered pretty intense. The show wasn't on TNT a very long time like The Closer and others. Fame and jealousy are a lethal combination. I believe that Jada has an equal amount of input. It wouldn't surprise me that Will would let her read the scripts that come to him and she helps in the decision making process.

It's an above average movie. No way is it a garbage movie. Either you don't watch enough movies to know what garbage is OR the IR 'ship got you feeling some type of way.

What does IR have to do with a garbage film?

I have to side with North in this regard. Some depictions of interracial relationships in lesser quality films fo not help a film to greatness. Will's character was definitely written to be white. The production design unique and photography, sound and lighting were tight. It was well written and probably well researched because con games like those depicted in the film may not work now. But I may be wrong. The fact that there was an interracial relationships inthe film was not important. It was a distraction, a con from the film maker and the writer(s).
I stopped watching after Gerald McRainey's character began snooping around and Ms. Robbie's character hangs from a terrace to avoid being seen. I will see the rest of the film.

There is a horror film called Chastity Bites. In that film, there was a scene with the popular girls who happened to have black boyfriends. But it's only for the appearance that they are cool. They all engage in kisses with their boyfriends who appear stereotypically thuggish. But this scene was not what the film was about.
