I thought love was allowing a person to have a safe place where they can change and develop. All I ask is your character stay the same even if your habits may change a little.

Lol. Lets get the details right, my bad. Muslims and Zoroastrians are also encouraged to apply.

Yeah that can happen. a person may want to be in a relationship for relationship sake versus wanting to be with you cause you are a good person.

    Excellent point.

Agreed! It's a good to continue growing, and even better if a couple grows together. My brother was preaching this some years ago. He had made mistakes early in life and served time in jail at 19 y/o. Afterward he worked a few jobs, but a bit later starting getting serious about his future. When he decided to finish college his g/f complained that he was "trying to outgrow her". I'm proud of him as he really got his act together. When he decided to study to get his real estate license she really went off the deep end. Of course I'm getting his version of the story, but I do know that he was very much into her, and he really had no reason to lie.

Some people are incredibly insecure in themselves, that's what it sounds like she dealing with. If she truly loved him, she'd always want him to strive for better, have huge dreams...she'd be his cheerleader, always in his corner encouraging her Kings attempts to better himself. Why would you ever try to keep down, someone you love? I hate that kind of selfishness. I wish your brother nothing but success in every endeavor he attempts! You guys must be incredibly proud of him for turning things around

Yep he is her "everything." She won't even share him with facebook. I much rather my lady understand that she has to share me with the world because in reality we all share this planet. You have to set the tone from the beginning, can't get brand new on her after 10-15 years.

I can be faithful while having a well balanced life with family, friends and associates. Balance keeps everything in perspective. Intimate relationships are great but they are only a part of a bigger picture. Balance is the required condition for growth.

for me my purpose of "dating" would be getting to know someone and becoming close to them, I know for me I do not want marriage or kids and potentially I may always want my own living space. Which I know will be a problem for many girls, but i will find my match someday, I honestly have only had two dates in my entire life (will be 30 in December) and it is down to me not putting much effort into it.

So you're looking more for a FWB or steady companion?

I am open to the idea of getting close enough to a girl that I could call her "Girlfriend", FWB does not interest me as any girl that I would get involved with we would have to exclusive to each other. a companion Is a good word for what I am looking for but a particular type of companion (as I mentioned in my earlier post), I am not totally opposed to living together if I met the right girl, but my mindset right now is I would rather have separate living spaces.
