OSCARS Boycott call

But,Cube's two White screenwriters are nominated for Oscar. Which is why he is not so concerned.

 

Straight Outta Compton the album has one of the greatest impacts on hip hop and music in general and none of them got awards or any other shit from some board of judges. He probably doesn't give a shit since he has dealt with this his whole career but knows his contribution an influence. What's a Grammy or whatever to Cube when he's one of the most respected rappers ever.

 

i myself stopped watching the Oscars,emmy's any type of actor awards long time ago. it's has nothing to do with not having enough minorities in it.
i use to do security in hollywood, ca .one of my gigs i did an award party for celebrities . there was so much self congratulating ,patting either other on the back,brown nosing ,gassing themselves up .....it made me sick ... these people are living in another world.ok ,just cause you say lines in front of a camera ,your better than me ? hell no motherfucker! they work on a higher Archy system. at these parties ,if you are not a name ,they look at you like dog poo.
these award show are really meant for people in the industry...

As far as blacks being involved .....1)I don't think black folks get involved enough. write,produce and cast your own movies.
2)the qualities of alot of black films are not up to par.(dvd movies)

how many black movies came out last year?compare to white movies ?
if it's 100 to 10 . why would any of the 10 be nominated ?
how many wasn't about being black ?

you can't force the academy to give blacks and other minorities an award.
if you did ,well....... it would be worthless .
where's the asian peoples oscar ?.......where's the latino oscar ?

 

That is one of the main things sad about this is that now they are just going to get nominated based more so on race because of this controversy being blowed up. Which will take away from the performances and filmmaking by minorities. This whole thing just ruined award shows even more, It's like I said it would of been best to give out these awards based on facts and not voter's opinions. Because you can argue an opinion, but you can't argue a fact.

It blew up because it was repeated the second time around. The director of Selma told protestors last year to cancel their protesting of the ceremony in hopes things would "change". It didn't hense the beef.
