Bowie in 1965. Bowie had one son, Duncan (middle name Zowie), with his wife Angie, in 1971. Bowie meet supermodel Iman in 1990. They married two years later. Iman: “I was not ready for a relationship. Definitely, I didn't want to get into a relationship with somebody like him. “But as I always said: I fell in love with David Jones. I did not fall in love with David Bowie. Bowie is just a persona. He's a singer, an entertainer. David Jones is a man I met.” Credit: People.com
Really great pics ^^^^^ Love the Iman and David story she told ^^^^^ Never knew that! How cool. Just thinking about his songs...like...Young American, The Jean Genie, Fashion, China Girl...Such different songs from each other. A true master of music.
Bliss, I may be wrong! John Lennon co-wrote the song, the guitar riff was actually developed by Carlos Alomar (who also co-wrote it) and he played on the song too. I'm just not sure if he is playing that hard, phat fucking riff or if it was John Lennon on the cut: Fame David Bowie – lead vocals, guitar John Lennon – backing vocals, guitar, production, tape loops Carlos Alomar – guitar (self taught) - Puerto Rican Dennis Davis – drums - AA Emir Ksasan - bass - AA It must have looked like the U.N. when they was recording that song lol. I had no idea they recorded this with some brothers helped to record one of my favorite songs of all time lol. I am going to learn to play "Fame"! I'm going to grab my bass right now and go over some Stone Temple Pilots Plush first
I remember seeing David Bowie in a commercial for Pepsi cola. He played a computer nerd trying to create the Perfect Woman Everything was in place until he accidentally knocked his can of Pepsi into computer. Moments later, a woman appears and it is...wait for it. Tina Turner. The two sing and dance to Bowie's Modern Love.
It was said that the film Velvet Goldmine was based on David. Bowie and they wanted to use his music in the film. Bowie wanted no part of it. So, they used Gary Glitter, Lou Reed and other songs for the soundtrack.
Yeah, I think the title of the film threw me off. I thought of it as a gigantic Factory biopic built around the Velvet Underground.
If anything, I would sum up the film Velvet Goldmine as a love letter to that time when people were very brave, yet naive of a lot of things. And then it hits them; the realization that they are human. They are also afraid and alone, but suffering in silence.
Time for his music I remembered this David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing In The Street: http://youtu.be/9G4jnaznUoQ

Not about Flint, but close enough. Whenever I play this track lately it reminds of that terrible water crisis.:smt101
