Nobody won Saturday's $800 million jackpot. Now the total is set to go to $1.3 Billion. Good luck to anyone playing, your odds of winning are 1 in 260 million. But if you buy 260 million tickets you're a shoo-in right? http://abcnews.go.com/US/powerball-winners-jackpot-grows-estimated-13-billion/story?id=36184696
I'd never bought a lottery ticket in my life...until two days ago I'll play another round with this pot...spend a quick $20 and move on with my day. I'm not much of a gambler at all, but even I'll play a few bucks with a prize that big lol.
I think I bought a $1 scratch-off ticket once. While it would be fun dreaming of all the things I could do with that money, I wouldn't want some of the other negative stuff that comes with it. Like begging to go into the witness protection program to hide from all the long-lost "relatives" and "friends" that suddenly want to be close again.
They were talking about that on the radio the other day. Most people said they'd want the money, but one was adamant that he'd keep his current life any day over a rich life (keep in mind though that this guy makes at least 300k+ a year currently). I would LOVE to win the lottery but only because I want to see that money put to good use. It's too much money to be in the wrong hands lol. Help our tremendous homeless population, rescue every neglected animal under the sun, help our next generation with their college educations, etc. Helping family and friends goes without saying. I don't care if the money is gone quickly as long as there's extreme tangible benefits from it, I'd be stoked.
Right. I'd take care of my present and future first and that of my family's but after that, I'd start giving. As great as it would be to know that I and my loved ones are financially secure, there's nothing like the high that comes from knowing you're bettering someone else's life. Oh, and yes, the animal rescues. Lost Paws (local kitty rescue) and Hope for Paws (Los Angeles dog rescue) are my favorites. Or I'd just start my own. I can't resist puppy dog eyes...
I can't resist any animal. I'd save them allllll! Probably start my own resource centers (one for people and one for animals) and really try to create something lasting (not only lasting benefits to others but building and owning those businesses could continue to provide for our family once the other money's gone). So many options with that amount of money...so much opportunity to help others.
I'd eradicate hunger in the US within a decade And still have more than enough to live the way I want to which isn't far off from how I live now. I'd take care of everyone's mortgage abd /or student loans in my life and nice preowned vehicles for everyone in my life including all my haters on this forum Ches you get 2011 Honda Accord Lippy you get a 2011 Honda Accord Bliss you get a 2011 Honda Accord GL you get a 2011 Honda Accord Everyone gets a 2011 Honda Accord
:smt043 Dude I don't doubt that for a single second. You would take care of everyone and make such positive changes with that money :freehug: I want my Audi Q7
Well, thanks, TDK! A 2011 Honda Accord beats the Chrysler Geriatric POS I'm driving now! I'm humbled by your generosity. Lol
Had to buy my mom a car and when I did the research that particular year was great on gas and retention of value and was a great price. I don't care how much I argue you with anyone of you. I see decent people with real lives outside of the forum who could use a little help hell we all can use help from timeto time
The last number is the power ball. Five white balls is about a million dollars. TDK, l'd but you a one way ticket to Canada.
You know what I heard the other day? Toyota Carrolla is like one of the best values for your dollar. Never knew that. The only downside is that you have to drive a Toyota Carrolla lol Hahaha dude you could've been off the hook with a mere $70k! Since you insist though, I'll take the mortgage I don't yet have. Could've saved yourself over half a mil by listening to the little ladies original request lol
