At the risk of not provoking the naturally strong independent woman, I will take a stab at this:
Some women are just innately agreeable, sweet and soft at everything:.....their gaze, their smile, their demeanor, their touch and their voice tone with men.... they appear to never flex and change despite challenges and provocation from men....as if they are built that way....... there-in lies "unbridled femininity".......

Femininity is nothing other than the social constraints put upon the female sex by the environment she grew up in.

These include mannerisms, gestures, facial features, personal hygiene and movements.

IMO everything else is Unicorns, Kittens and Rainbows.

I asked the man himself (otherwise known as him indoors) about what he thought of BFE's ideas of femininity, in his words "that's just what they are ideas, not reality that man has a fantasy and he doubts the man even knows a woman in the real sense of the word"

I risked it and asked what he thought my feminine characteristics were lol he said " a pretty face and a bad character" then run off laughing.
    :D:p
I did get some more out of him but it was more what he liked about me as a person and nothing to do with femininity so he said he doesn't have a clue.

It's given us a laugh tonight so defo worth the chat :freehug:

Being feminine is something that is hard to describe; women can be assertive and powerful and dirty and sweaty and still be feminine. Its an "air" that just is. Some have it naturally, some dont. I find it hard to describe. Its the same with masculine;its not about stature or size, or brute. Some just have it. Feminina and masculine to me is about an "air", pheromones, or something, i dont know i dont think it can be described easily at all its a mysterious force. I know " butchy" women that are feminine and tiny small men that are masculine and i cant describe it.

    Thats just my opinion

Agreed. It's something you know when you see it.

There's an perceived vulnerability about being feminine, which isn't the same as being weak.
Something delicate, at times, in a woman's nature or disposition.
Some women only really feel comfortable being wholly feminine during and after physical intimacy.

But I agree it's way more than how she dresses or what kind of activities she likes to participate in.

I've known women who liked to wear wing tips, khaki pants and oxford bottom collar shirts who you swore were lipstick lesbians, until you started talking to them and they were just as 'girly' and into guys as your average
    fashionista.

I guess someone who has a demeanor that's stereotypically unmasculine is a general way to define femininity, but how each woman expresses it can be different.

I'll say this, women down South generally speaking are raised and taught how to be feminine from an early age, unlike any other region IMO in the country.

Maybe because culturally it's more traditional down South and gender role behavior is more defined, even if a woman chooses not to follow all the rules.

BTW BrotherfromEngland, please break this down.
What's trashy about the women in this photo??

This makes no sense to me. The whole reason certain lesbian women are called "butch" is because they give off a very masculine vibe. There is nothing womanly about them except their boobs and vagina. That's about it.

Seriously lol. And the "heels >2 inches" comment... Not hooker heels of course, but a nice, tall, slim heel is very feminine imo. Elongates the leg and paired with a pencil skirt and fitted blazer...uber feminine (i.e. classy, timeless).

"A woman's strength is not in her bank account, credit score, the car she drives, the house she lives in, organizations she's a part of, the degrees she has, her ability to 'read' somebody, her ability to go toe to toe with a man, her looks, her size, her color or what she does or doesn't have. A woman's strength is in her femininity. God set it up that way for a reason Learn how to be strong the RIGHT way!" ~April Mason <3
