There is also a French movie "Monsieur Claude and his daughters". It's about a family with four daughters. Three of them have married, one married an Arab, one married a Jew, one married a Chinese. They are now hoping the fourth one would marry "a good Catholic". Finally she does marry a Catholic, a black man from Cote d'Ivoire.
Don't know if they have it in English yet.

That is a great film.
Also saw a documentary once on TV about a young woman who joined a group pf nomadic people in sub Sahara Africa.
It does seem exciting.

 

How did you find Monsieur Claude? It's been out for long I believe but I watched it only recently and liked it. Funny movie.

Yes I did love this oneThe daughters did choose their own husbands. And the daughter who did find a good Catholic. A African one. Lol
I watched this with my bf at the time.

In a certain way this film does treat all the stereotypes we have concerning marriage with other races
But in a funny way it puts all these stereotypes together.
Funny but true and eduational.

 

That movie was mentioned in this site years back. It was interesting. I saw that flick and later purchased the DVD.

 

There will be a sequal of the film that will be released next year.

 

The film came in different titles for example on Google it is Serial(Bad) Weddings.
