    Both. It shows Flashbacks when they were younger & they end up eventually having Sex in the present time during that scene with them on the couch.

    A relationship was foreshadowed toward the end of season one. He became very nervous asking her out. It charmed her as well as teased her.

    They are both part of the ensemble cast. Her ex died after a violent encounter with a suspect in season 1. As to the doctor, his background is a bit murky at this point. Very little is known about him.

    but interestingly enough...Michael Ealy's character brother is dating a blonde...
