People in a position of power, both men and women, unless they are married, are fundamentally lonely people. No one was with them on their journey to success. These single powerful people are in control of everything in their fields but have almost none in the affairs of the heart. They become arrogant and aloof while hiding behind their success and fortune.

I remember when I was a kid, I have heard stories about a guy on the streets who drives around in a fancy car and has a lot of cash on him. The man was a drug dealer and everyone who knew him wanted a piece of the action. People have respect for anyone who made money be it right or wrong. To get a piece of the action or curry favor, they will inform and protect that person. They will do just about anything.
Even if that person has no loyalty to anyone.

That is one of the darker aspects of the use of power.

Even if it were true, what business it it of anyone's but his wife, if he hired 2 hookers. He admitted he was addicted to porn, hookers are a distant cousin to the adult world. Who really cares anymore unless its a transvestite, lol.

Nah...when a man's a sleaze bag, he becomes real offputting, handsome or not. Plus don't forget, many of the women harrassed were in relationships.

I think you read the Thrush header wrong. They weren't plied with alcohol -- he was. He'd get drunk and pounce on his co-workers.

Newsflash, women in relationships get hit on all the time. If you're in a relationship and a man is showing a sexual interest in you, maybe it's not the best idea to have drinks with him.
Kissing a colleague at a bar is now considered, 'pouncing', sexual predator type behavior?? Kissing a woman unprovoked is now sleazy???

What I read is these women for some reason were deeply offended Thrush ever made a pass at them, they rejected his overtures then decided after the fact they were victims.
Saying Thrush was a powerful reporter is silly. He's a successful one, but he doesn't hold control over his female colleague's careers. Reporters are given assignments by their editors, not other reporters. So whether another reporter was intimate with Thrush or not doesn't affect how they do their job. You've got some women COMPLAINING about Thrush because they had consensual sex after both of them had been drinking.
    That's insanity.
One of these chicks had the nerve to flip because Thrush kissed her ear at some event. What's missing is what was their conversation prior to that kiss??

Hitting on your co-workers is just stupid IMO. But that doesn't make someone a sexual predator

LOL. I would love to see us live in a world where women were expected to make the first move.
Most of you emotionally couldn't handle it.

There was a radio station in Fort Lauderdale that visited many of the bars and pubs in the county. This was expressly for the purpose of interviewing women who were drunk. They would try and make conversation with these women at every bar and pub Monday through Friday. On Friday morning, the best recorded interview is put on the air under the title, "Drunk Bitch Friday's".

I was surprised when I heard one of the recordings and was even more surprised that the station wasn't sued. I guess the women signed a waiver that gave the station permission to air their voices.

Dickhead thing to do even for a radio station.

$70M taxpayer-funded Starr Report, disbarred and impeached.

Bernie Bros are too young to remember Clinton paid for his indiscretions.

Fun fact: The Starr Report can be found online for free, you're welcome

Bill Clinton went from a net worth of $700,000 pre-presidency (lowest since Harry S. Truman) to $80 million today. So I'd say he got paid for his indiscretions.

Was he showing sexual interest before they went for drinks though? It seems booze turned a switch on.

Admittedly, this is a difficult topic to address, because there are so many blurred lines and gray areas when it comes to intermingling with the opposite sex.I just dont know, you know. Hell, you don't even know.

The range as we see, is quite broad, from behavior being creepy, to dealing with mixed signals from each other, to complete misunderstandings, to outright criminal sexual assault.

We've all been in these situations. We all have stories.
We all make assumptions on how we think, or thought the other person received us, and we're not always correct.

In Thrush's case...he texted one woman the next morning asking "if he should apologize for his behavior?" So he knew, but then acted all apologetic.

I will admit it's real murky for men right now who aren't creeps watching all this unfold, and for women it's depressing because the behavior is so prevalent everywhere..l don't know the end game result..do you?

Complete and unconditional segregation. Isn't that what will make women safe?

Berners attack the Clintons more than Republicans do

Did you see where the Berner who ran for DNC chair is now running for office as a Republican? That doesn't put me on the "same side" LOL

Then they will complain that men aren't paying them attention.

I'm like you at this point; step back and give the ladies the world that they want

Holy God now washed-up bubble gum pop queens are accusing washed-up boy band members of a "rape" that allegedly happened like 20 years ago. Stop the madness

Well Bernie supporters are progressives and progressives in general aren't fans of the Clintons or any corporatist politicians for that matter. But when it comes to most of the social issues our goals are aligned. I'm beginning to see this is more of a generation gap thing for your ilk.
