This kind of goes to the to article Loki posted in the Black Farmer thread about the gentrification and changing demographics of Harlem.

Residents are angry and protesting that an area of Harlem, south Harlem to be exact has had it name changed.
Trying to capitalize on the redevelopment of the area and the trendiness of SoHo real estate developers and agents have taken to calling the area SoHa.

It's one of the most well-known neighborhoods in the world, but now some developers and real estate agents want to call Harlem something else. Area residents are outraged.

On the streets of Harlem, residents have a message for developers who want to rename their neighborhood:

"It's like a slap in the face to me," one woman said.

"We love it and we don't need another name," said another. "Harlem is Harlem all by itself."

Its not only south Harlem that this is happening to but also Spanish Harlem is being increasingly referred to as SpaHa.

Wow. They have some nerve. Whites are back after a 110 year absence and now want to change everything.
