They probably didn't know about it. I'm betting that kid tried on a dozen different hoodies during the photo shoot and the parents were probably hovering over the crafts service table and not paying attention. Or it's also possible that the hoodie didn't say that during the shoot and the text was added via photoshop later.

It's sad that people said they would degrade and dehumanize themselves for fantasy money they'll never be paid.

I bet there were several people who thought that hoodie for some reason would go unnoticed and thought it would be funny.smh

Why has the hoodie, a necessary layer, been downgraded to a uniform for violent offenders?

Why would these people use this as an inside joke?

Do they think of the message they're sending?

I've never seen any God or religion do more evil in this world than the worship of money either.

Note to ladies here: "Whitey" is abstract institutional racist "whitey," not any of you

What bothers me most is the decision to pose that young Black boy in the hoodie was made at an arts department management level at H&M, which means several people signed off on it.

It's crazy that so many people would be casually racist enough to let a stupid idea like this work its way up the pipeline to actually being published.

    Some updates have come out...

    - His mother has responded..

    [IMG][IMG]

-Apparently the little boy picked the shirt to wear (read that in a comment)

-The shoot did not take place in the U.S

-H&M have a clothing unit called Monki
    https://about.hm.com/en/brands/monki.html

-Employees in an H & M store in Paris were physically threatened by two black men who went in to take their anger out, over the Ad.
    It was recorded.

As in DarkCurry's example above, there has been some crazy differing 'opinions' out there..

Well that makes it even worse.
This kid is better off raised by wolves.

    They're Kenyan...now I know why they're such bootlickers.

    Those mofos have ZERO self-esteem.

Money is a tool and as with all tools if you don't use it right it can fuck up shit equally as it creates or repairs. Too many people see money as a goal to achieve rather than the means to achieve goals.
