GOP donor kills himself after talking about working with Russians

A GOP donor and opposition researcher who said he tried to work with Russian hackers to retrieve deleted emails from a private server used by Hillary Clinton, has died in a suicide, according to public records cited in a Chicago Tribune report.

Peter Smith killed himself days after an interview with The Wall Street Journal in which he said he sought out Russian hackers to try to retrieve some 33,000 deleted Clinton emails and pass them to Michael Flynn, then a campaign adviser to Donald Trump.

Death records from Minnesota show that Smith, 81, died in a hotel of "asphyxiation due to displacement of oxygen in confined space with helium" on May 14. Smith was found with a note that said there was "NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER" regarding his death.

But The suicide note clearly said that there was no foul play whatsoever. Good enough for me.

 

I heard about it on Racheal Maddow last night. With the Putin death toll it just appears to be suspicious.

 

THis is called a suspicious death because the decedent went on the record that he was trying to secure info for the Trump campaign while being aided by the Russians.

Unlike the phony Seth Rich scandal where simply because the guy worked for the DNC he must have been murdered to cover up stealing DNC emails which makes no sense.
The Dems would have tried to put Rich in jail for the rest of his life if he'd stolen DNC emails which didn't really have anything in them anyway.
Not murder him as punishment.
If you follow this Russian collusion scandal and see how many top intel people high ranked in the Russian FSB who have either committed suicide, were murdered in the street, or simply disappeared, it tells me this scandal when it breaks with the conclusion of Mueller's investigation is going to be the worst one in U.S. history.

Many people in business don't believe in the concept of national sovereignty or national borders.
Trump IMO has no concept about what treason is because he doesn't why there would be a problem getting help from a foreign government that's loaned him hundreds of millions of dollars to backstop his real estate projects to then aid Donald in winning a presidential election.
