The "Liberty Place" monument... Yet there are still people (including a few black people!) who say the civil war wasn't about race and slavery... in spite of the evidence being literally carved in stone... lol.. I mention the black people because though you can expect that there'll be white folks in the south with those attitudes, black people who are down with that shit are a crying shame... Insight into how weak, fragile, vulnerable -- dangerous -- the human character can be.

 

There are those Uncle and Aunt Ruckus' who believe that nonsense. They are blind to the racism in history. The Battle of Liberty Place was about a attempted coup of LO government and it was repelled by Federal troops. That memorial is for the racists who tried the coup.

 

The system of racism/white supremacy is working the way it intended.

 

Just put into a museum and presto.

 

And let the Sons of Confederate Veterans pay for it.
