First off sexual orientation isn't visible. It can be concealed unlike the physical appearance of being black. So its vastly different my friend. Both can be defined as persecution but only of them can be hidden.

As to your example of being shot in the arm and me being shot in the leg I'll tell you this. Its wamore inconvient to lose the use of your leg than your arm so again the pain is vastly different. I don't buy pain is pain across the board but I do agree with trying to reduce it across the board. Like being poor and black in the US is worlds apart from being black and poor in Jamaica.
