A few years ago I thought it would be unlikely that a black man could ever be President of the U.S. But when I saw the level of support that Colin Powell was getting, I changed my mind. I do think it is possible for a black man to become president, although sadly I think it's likely some militia redneck will try to assassinate him. Now I wonder if there will ever be an interracial first family. Wow, imagine the message that would send around the world. But I don't think that'll happen anytime in the near future. No way.
