The greatest weapon any of us can have is the freedom and ability to think critically and decisively. That is what makes us strong and independent, and not slaves to anyone. ~ Roberto

That is a beautiful analogy Roberto, and well put and yes I definately have an inquiring mind and question everything.

You are a woman with an inquiring mind. I use the reference to Ying and Yang of Asian philosopy to draw a analogy of the differences of two people of two racial backgrounds, from two different realities, and cultures, who despite these differences of opposing extremes are mutually melded together. ~ Roberto

Roberto,

Truthfully I don't examine the why of my attraction. It just exists and that is enough for me. Why does there have to be some underlying dynamic? What is it that makes people think there is some reason. Yes, the contrast of our skin tones are striking. I am very pale and he dark, what does it matter accept it can be aethestically pleasing to some. The Ying/Yang point I have a hard time discerning your meaning. Are we opposites b/c of the color of our skin or are you hinting at something deeper?

I just got in this morning (time for bed time) from seeing the late movie "Save the Last Dance". A most interesting movie of interracial love. I never saw so many interracial couples during a movie outing as I saw at this theater and it was late (I wonder if that was an indicator). I found it interesting overhearing an interracial couple (WW/BM) talk in the seats in front of us on how the black-white skin contrast is where its at, as they held hands and kissed in front of us (people do not believe in being discreet anymore). More and more I hear of this skin contrast as a magnet that draws black to white or white to black. There has to be more to this than just skin color? Is this more psychological with sexual overtones or is it just the dimension of two opposites that meet that enthralls some people like the Ying/Yang (opposite forces that are mutually attracted to each other, but co-exist)? ~ Roberto
